The Distance Spike stands as the ultimate trail running traction device, designed for rapid mountain travel, whether connecting 14,000-foot peaks or striving for a fastest known time (FKT) on an alpine summit. Featuring a ground-breaking hybrid upper, the Distance Spike combines a softshell toe cover with a heel retention elastomer. The innovative softshell toe cover delivers an exceptional fit, superior packability, and excellent snow protection. It also contributes to the device’s feather-light weight, with each one tipping the scales at only 115 grams. Drawing from years of expertise in designing climbing crampons, the Distance Spike is equipped with 14 spikes, each with an optimised 8mm length, ensuring excellent traction on snow and ice, as well as enhanced stability on rock and harder surfaces. These spikes are made from stainless steel, heat-treated to offer exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and durability.
